Production Registration Instructions

General registration for Matilda opens Tuesday February 3, at 7PM

Email Elizabeth at Elizabeth@escapetheatre.org immediately if you have issues trying to register. That will provide us with a timestamp.

Please read all information BEFORE you register your child on Tuesday, February 3.

This is a registration request only. It requires a 2-step process. Enter your (the parent) name/email then hit 'REGISTER'. After the registration successful message, you will be prompted to complete the information required for each cast member (child/teen) who wants to be in the show. You MUST unclick "Copy Buyer Information" first so that you do not register the parent for the show. IF YOU DO NOT FILL OUT THIS INFORMATION AND THEN CLICK THE 'COMPLETE ORDER' BUTTON, WE WILL NOT SEE YOUR REGISTRATION.

Do NOT have two people register the same child/teen or BOTH will be canceled, and they will not be able to participate in Matilda. Please just use one computer, OR one phone. Thank you!!

Make sure you are available in June, 2026 for the mandatory rehearsals, production week, and all show dates. (June 19-21- yes, we have Monday shows!)

Mandatory rehearsals start on Monday, June 8 (**See All Possible Dates Calendar on website)

Performance Dates are June 19, 20, 21, and 22, 2026 at The Santa Clarita PAC.
Your child or teen needs to be available all 4 days, as they will have 1 show per day.
Please head on your vacation on Tuesday, June 23!!

When you register online, you will get a confirmation email that we have received your "Registration Request". We are only able to accept a certain number of youth and teens in each group. We are sorry, but the Registration Request does NOT mean that your child or teen is in the show. Please be patient for the "Welcome Email" on Friday, February 6th by 5 pm.

The Welcome email will confirm that your child/teen WILL BE in our show. We want to be fair to all boys and girls, siblings, and age groups. We will certainly do our BEST to make it work for ALL KIDS that want to join the cast! But...you are not confirmed until you receive the "Welcome to Matilda" email with all the details on Friday, February 6th.

If you don't get an email on Friday, February 6th you are on the Waitlist. Be patient, as things can change over the next two weeks.

Registration fee is $419. (VIP sponsors pay $377.) This includes 4 months of Training, partial costumes, show T-shirt, and headshot & cast photo portfolio.

Ways to pay your Registration fee:

Call the office February 9 or 10th to pay with a credit or debit card
Email Elizabeth to use a credit or debit card on file for your Registration fee (Feb. 6-9)
Drop off at check or cash at our studio on Paperwork night, Monday, February 9.

If payment is not received by 5 pm on Tuesday, Feb. 10- your spot will be canceled and replaced by someone on the Waitlist

Paperwork night is Monday, February 9 from 6:00-8:30 at our studio. 26639 Valley Center Drive, Suite 109, around the backside of the building.

Stop by for about 15 minutes to drop off all paperwork, and receive a Welcome Letter, Rehearsal Schedule, and All Possible Dates Calendar for the production. All paperwork that YOU will need to turn in will be on the website on Saturday, February 7th, or before.

Ensemble rehearsal for ALL cast-members is Monday evenings and leads work on Wednesday evenings between the hours of 5:45-9:45. If you choose to audition for a lead, you must be available most Wed. evenings for that 4 hour window. (Younger kids will not be there 4 hours)

The first rehearsal is Mon., February 16. Yes, it is Presidents Day, but we have to get started.

Monday Schedule for ALL kids:

A group (1-3rd grade)- 5:20-6:30
B group (4-6th grade)- 6:20-7:30
C group (7-8th grade)- 7:20-8:30
D group (9-12th grade)- 8:20-9:45
