More than ever, our kids need us and we need you. I hope you, your family and friends are staying well, in these trying times. Having either participated in or attended one or more of our performances, you know we consider you part of the ESCAPE family. ESCAPE Theatre has been serving the Santa Clarita community for nearly two decades and we hope our productions have brought a little joy to you and your loved ones, over the years.
I understand the difficulties individuals and small businesses are facing right now. As a small non-profit organization, we strive to keep our registration and ticket prices low and invest any profits back into the company, ensuring that the ESCAPE experience is better - for our artists and audience - each and every successive show. New costumes and new sets have all been offset by the large-scale productions we have been lucky enough to put on over the years.
As our community slowly reopens and we adjust to a new normal, it is clear that live theatre featuring hundreds of local youth and teens entertaining our wonderful families, friends and community will not be possible for a few months. We are now facing difficulties keeping our rehearsal studio, costume shop and set warehouse open and maintained as we are unable to sell tickets or open registration for summer events. Like your family and other businesses, we have made cuts to our staff and any other areas possible, but it’s clear that still won’t be enough.
