OUR MISSION
Our mission is to give youth and teens an opportunity to develop skills in singing, dancing, and acting while developing self-esteem, discipline, creativity and teamwork in an environment that is positive, supportive, and most importantly, FUN!
WHAT WE DO
Each year we produce two full-scale musicals at the Santa Clarita PAC and a smaller summer production at plus numerous summer camps at our studio. Our two large productions feature over 300 youth and teens from the Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding area.
HOW WE DO IT
During the 4 months of training, your child will learn singing techniques, voice projection, dancing, acting and stage presence. We develop self-esteem, discipline, creativity and teamwork, in a positive, supportive environment.
ESCAPE THEATRE PRESENTS
ESCAPE Theatre provides the opportunity for youth and teens from 1st to 12th grades to perform in front of large audiences with beautiful sets, costumes, and a full orchestra. We believe the learning process is an amazing opportunity for them to grow in their love for musical theatre, and developing real life skills. We hope they will enjoy this experience! ESCAPE provides children with a setting that enhances their self-esteem and creativity, and develops self-discipline in a supportive and -- most important -- FUN environment.

Join the cast or just come see a show! We would love to have you join our ESCAPE family!
“Being brought up in the company just meant that theater was always my home. I can’t even consider … my life without ESCAPE Theater, and that just continued a passion past high school for performing for me.” Kayla Burson stated.
Those that participate in ESCAPE learn more than just theater and performance techniques. They learn about themselves and the heights they can reach.

“What we want them to do is have some confidence,” Kyle Burson said. “You can go into a job interview and say ‘Hey, I got no problem with this, I was in front of 900 people and performing , so it’s not as scary.’”

MEET THE DIRECTORS
Kyle and Elizabeth Burson
Elizabeth and Kyle Burson met in 1991 doing a production of Li'l Abner for a Theatre company in Long Beach, and were married 2 years later. They have four children: Jesse, Kayla, Mikey, and Rachel, all past and current participants in each production. Elizabeth is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine, with her B.A. in Music. As a classically trained pianist, she has played with several orchestras before turning her talents to the stage.
As Musical Director-Pianist-Conductor-Artistic Director, her credits include over 250 shows across the nation. Some of her favorite performance credits include Peter in “Peter Pan”, Maria in "The Sound of Music", Rizzo in "Grease", and Grace in "Annie". She enjoys spending time with her husband, and four children, and is grateful to have the opportunity to bring her family, teaching skills, and her love for theatre together.
Kyle has been performing since the age of 7. Theatre has always been his outlet for creativity for far too many years to mention. He has performed such roles as Rooster in "Annie", Dentist/Plant in "Little Shop of Horrors", Will Parker in "Oklahoma", Abner in “Li’l Abner”, the Lion in "The Wizard of Oz", and many others. Kyle is happy to combine his knowledge both on stage and off to bring a more professional experience for the children.
Over the last 20 years of ESCAPE, they are living the fulfillment of a dream. They bring their love of musical theatre, energy, creative passion, and more than 35 years experience to this partnership. Elizabeth and Kyle's goal is to continue to teach throughout the Santa Clarita Valley, providing quality educational theatre for many years to come.
