Ensemble Costume Information

TOWNS PEOPLE GIRLS: (All Girls K-6th)

One Dress:

 Pastels or primary, stripes, soft colors, lace, crochet, ruffles, small prints, or floral dress.

 No denims or Holiday dresses

 Drop waist with bow / ribbon accents, white wide collars over the shoulder, puffy sleeves

 Dress should be approximately 2 in. below knee.

 Short sleeve, or 3/4 sleeves, sailor type dress preferred. White collars are GREAT!

Accessories and Hair:

 Hair should be in braids, or down with curls & pulled back out of face.

 Big hair bows for braids & hair that match their dress.

Shoes/Socks:

 Black or white paten leather Mary Jane’s. (Whatever color matches their dress best)

 White Bobbie socks WITHOUT lace.

 White Bobbie socks WITH lace.

 No sandals, high-heels or open-toes.

Band uniform:

 You need to provide white tennis shoes (fabric or leather shoes)

ESCAPE Rentals: $20 Rental fee

 ESCAPE will provide coat and pants for band uniform.

 ESCAPE will provide petticoat for Act 2.

**All $20 Costume Rental Fees due no later than Mon. November 10th. Thank you!

**Mandatory Ensemble costume check Mon. Nov. 10th. Parents be prepared to bring entire costume.

-Mandatory Final Ensemble costume check on Mon. December 1st. All kids will WEAR their costume.

-Mandatory Band fitting on Mon. Oct. 20th. Parents will stay after rehearsal for 30-45 min. with their child.

TOWNS PEOPLE BOYS: (All Boys K-6th)

 Knickers: Grays, browns, tans, dark greens, black, plaid, blues or burgundy. Corduroy, tweed, or textured.

 Shirt: Light colored, pinstripe, or 2 tone or solid; 1980’s

 No Brights or denim

 Suspenders: Tans, browns, dark green, black, blues- color that will match their knickers & shirts

 Shoes and Socks:

 Argyle KNEE socks

 Solid pair of socks; Ex. black, navy, grey dress socks.

 Black or brown dress shoes.

 Band uniform:

 You need to provide white tennis shoes (fabric or leather shoes)

 White socks

ESCAPE Rentals: $20 Rental fee

 ESCAPE will provide coat and pants for band uniform.

 ESCAPE will provide newsboy caps and bow ties.

TOWNS PEOPLE GIRL TEENAGERS: (All Girls 7-12th)

Act 1 Dress:

 1980’s style prom dress knee length (frilly, puffy sleeves, lace, but no shiny fabric.)

 Pastels, soft colors, lace, crochet, small prints, or narrow stripes.

 No denims, grey, black or Holiday colors.

 Act 2 Dress or Blouse/skirt (after Shipoopi dance):

 Front button type shirts with a lot of buttons, high stand up collar. (older lady office type)

 Blouse can be solid or small pattern with lace collar.

 If you have a dress it should be a mature small patterned dress. (older lady office type)

 Long sleeve, or 3/4 sleeves

 A-line style long skirt, mid calf, cinched at waist. Should not be a full skirt.

 Accessories and Hair:

 Hair should be ½ up ½ down, and pulled back out of face with curls.

 Large matching hair bows are great, and should match your “Teenage” dress

 After “Shipoopi” hair will go to a tight bun with hat.

Shoes:

 Black character shoes. No tennis shoes, high-heels, or open-toes. Only character shoes please.

 Nude tights or hose.

ESCAPE Rentals: $20 Rental fee

 ESCAPE will provide petticoat, waist sash or ribbon, and all hats.

 Shirt: Light colored, pinstripe, 2 tone or solid (color body with white collar preferred, 1980’s)

 No Brights or denim

 Vest; Textured fabrics: corduroy, tweed, and herringbone. Similar colors as your pants (see above)

 Shoes and Socks:

 One solid pair of socks; Ex. black, navy, grey dress socks.

 Black or brown dress shoes. No tennis shoes or white socks.

ESCAPE Rentals: $20 Rental fee

 ESCAPE will provide man’s hats, sports coat, tie, newsboy caps & bow ties.

Use the next few weeks to get a jump-start at Thrift Stores or Discount stores.

(Salvation Army on Sierra Hwy, and Goodwill on Bouquet & Seco)

Lead costume check will be Wed. Nov. 19th. More info after casting is completed.

Men on the train will get further info before Nov. 3rd. You will most likely wear your ensemble pants, the Sports coat and tie provided by ESCAPE, and your ensemble shirt and shoes as well. You probably won’t need to get anything!

 Men on the Train: (Salesmen)

 Sport coat or 3 piece suit.

 Pants: Gray, brown, tan, dark green, pin-striped, plaid, blue or burgundy. No black or denim pants.

 Shirt: Button down light colored, pinstripe, or 2 tone or solid, 1980’s

 Tie or colored bow tie

 Shoes: same as ensemble
